Friday Five
1. What was your first job?
I worked as a hostess in a Chinese restaurant in Northridge.

2. How much did you make?
I think I made $4.25/hour which was the minimum wage for California at that time. I also get free dinner there.

3. Describe your least favorite co-worker of all time.
Hmm, mainly people who like to gossip and don't do their jobs properly.

4. What is your dream job?
Honestly I hate to work. So currently this SAHM gig is working out great for me.

5. What do you currently do and do you like it?
I'm a SAHM and I am enjoying every minute of it.

Not unless it's free. A big part of the decision for Liz to become a SAHM was the money we'd save wiht Liz not driving/commuting to work and paying for a sitter/daycare for Amber during that time.

Once I score another promotion/raise we might consider that for half a day or two during the week for the social interaction. Of course you can get the same thing at the play area at the local mall in air-conditioned comfort for FREE! I like that four letter word ;)

hiya liz, show us your... nails. :)

(almost had a new orleans flashback. lol.)

I didn't do anything fancy with my nails and toes. Just nail polish on toes and clear nail polish on nails. Nothing to show for.
I only started doing pedicure and manicure a few months ago. Now I'm hooked, it's soo nice to have pretty toes, especailly in summer time. You should try it.

aye, i think my ma and grandma are gonna take me when i'm back in the states later this month.

if not, i'll ask them specifically. they were gonna take me just before we left in may, but i was just SOOOOOO swamped with trying to organize and pack n'stuff... in between freaking out [for various reasons]... that we just didn't have time. (on a side note, we DID make it to the gambling cruise before i left. lol. i busted.)

it's such a chore sometimes, to do my fingers and toes myself, and so they'll get to random stages of disrepair (i mean they'll look like crap) before i fix them again. shame, i've really nice fingernails (funny little toes).

ohhh yes, and sometimes i don't brush my hair.

hehee.

You don't need daycare for social interaction. :p You can have playgroups, preschool, which a lot of them start at 2, or mommy-and-me playgroups. I think it's much more important for kids to have their parents around to spend time with when they are little. Speaking as a SAHM myself.
