Interesting Facts
As you know (or maybe you don't) that Rose Parade is held near here in Pasadena on January 1st every year, has been for the last 117 years. Unless the New Year falls on a Sunday, then it will be held on Monday instead, which is the case for this year. Rose Bowl (Go Trojans!) is usually held on the same afternoon as the Rose Bowl, but this year it will be on Wednesday instead.

I never knew that Rose Bowl will never be held on a Sunday until John pointed it out to me. As far as the history goes, it has never been rained on the day of the Rose Bowl. We shall see about this year, since it's pouring here right now.

Have a Happy New Year everyone.

Hmmmm....I never knew that. It stopped raining here in San Diego so hopefully it'll be a nice day up there. Happy New Year!

And now because all of this attention has been brought to the never rained-out parade (and not just here but in the media) this morning the wind is blowing and rain is coming down.

But apparently the producers of the parade also changed the format; for the first time this year they will stop the parade halfway through to let Leann Rimes, Toni Braxton & friends sing a few songs.
