Why would people call two seconds later, when first time they called the phone wasn't picked up? You think we would be home in two seconds? Idiots!

i can always tell when my MIL is ringing us cause it'll ring once and then she hangs up and calls us again. you'd think it was code but really it's cause she always thinks she's mis-dialed it the first time and so she hangs up and dials it again.

I hate telemarket types that do this very thing. and if I bother to answer the second time, it still is generally just the stOOpUd computer dialer.

ooh, the next time you get a telemarketer, say to them, "that sounds interesting but i have a question - how long do you think it'll take to get a body down the garbage disposal?"
either that, or ask them to please hold and then just set the phone down and continue with your life. they'll hang up eventually.
Most of the time we don't answer the phones if the phone number isn't recongnizable.
And I have done the answered phone, then put them on hold tatic. :)
Thank God for caller ID and Do not Call List, otherwise we would have gotten more useless phone calls each day.
