Thanksgiving Recap
We had a really nice t-day. The food was yummy, the company was great. Everyone got a big surprise when they saw MIL, it was very funny. And I survived the first ever t-day hosting.

This morning MIL and I both got up at 5am, went to pick up Mom, then headed to Target for some shopping. My christmas shopping is done, at least for immediate family members and family gift exchange.

Mom asked to take MIL for a church picnic along with JE. So I dropped them off at my parents', off I went to the mall. Yes it was extremely crowded, but it only took me five minutes to get a parking spot, because I was very lucky. Then I got some really really good deals at Macy's and a couple of items for my niece in Old Navy.

Now I'm off to take a good nap. As much as I love a good bargain, I'm getting old and can't survive on four-hour sleep.

Surprise...
Well, the surprise has arrived today. Guess who? My mother-in-law. We have known this for more than a month, maybe two, and we didnt tell my parents about it. That was hard, especailly I see them regularily. But the look on their face when they see her, it was worth it. And it was really really funny. My mom's jar basically dropped to the floor. HAH.

So my MIL is going to be here for three, I guess there will lots of shopping to be done, and we are planning to do the Black Friday. All these years I have been living here, it will be the first I'm doing the Black Friday. Just hope I can get up that early. *yawn*

Tomorrow JE's class will have a party instead. The teacher had a list posted outside of the classroom for the parents to sign up, to bring various items: turkey, pumkin pie, napkins, drinks, table clothes, etc. Luckily I got to school early that day and was able to sign up for a non-food item.

Harry Potter-Goblet Of Fire
Oh yeah it was good. We saw it last night with Xinh.

The special affects are excellent; the Weasley twins cracked me up; a little chop and cut there; a little disappointed in some of the scenes that they didn't ellerabrate. Otherwise it denfinetely worth the $8, $10, however much you pay for a movie ticket. And I will see it again if I get the chance.

I don't know about you, but personally I think Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has turned into a real beauty.

Usually I don't talk about previews, but King Kong! All I have to say is Peter Jackson is a genious, and he looks damn good. He lost a lot of weight, but his hair is still as mad as ever. I imagine him in a robe with a pipe in his hand.

Where is your parental duty?
This whole week, JE has early school due to parent and teacher conference, which means he gets out school at 11:45. So after school today we went to McD for lunch, per his request (be quiet Aunty Em :) When we finished eating, we went outside to play for a while.

There were already two sets of parent-kids outside, and there were lots of pigeons flying around searching for food. One of the boys was running around chasing the piegeons, which was annoying the heck out of me already. At one point, he ran in front of me, just then there were two piegeons on the ground. The fucking kid (yes, I'm using fuck and kid in the same sentence. If you keep reading you will know why) did the unthinkable, he raised his foot and stomped on the piegeons. I'm not talking about 2 yr-olds or younger. This boy is taller than JE, so he is at least JE's age if not older. He did this right in front of me, I immediately blurred out and yelled at him:"Don't do that. You DO NOT step on the birds." I think he got a bit scared, probably didn't except a stranger would yell at him. He went back to his mom. What did the mom do? Didn't say a single word him. You know me, I'm not one to like to give advices to other parents or kids, since I hate it when others do it to me. But this fucking kid and mom made me so mad, in this case I am more mad at the mom than her son. She should know better. I am still fuming as I am writing this entry.

Cruelty to animals are not accepted in my book. I don't care if you are one or one hunderd. If he were my son, he would have gotten a smack down so hard he will never forget it for the rest of his life. Then again, if he were my son, he would have never stomped a piegeon or any animals for that matter.

"Medium"
If you are into NBC's show Medium, next Monday's epeisode will be shown in 3D. I believe you can get a 3D glasses if you buy a TV guide magazine. Cool huh?

Are you drooling yet?
Copy/stole from Xinh

List your favorite restaurants for the following items (can be local or chain):

Salad: My Chinese Chicken Salad.

Soup: Not a big fan of soup. If I really have to pick, maybe Souplantation's Clam Chowder.

Sandwich: Lovebirds Cafe in Alhambra.

Burger: Top's in Pasadena.

Chicken fingers: McD's chicken nuggets.

Wings:

Bread: Cheesecake Factory and Outback.

Appetizer: Cheesecake Factory.

Side item:

BBQ: Not a big fan of BBQ either. I will eat them if a group of us decided to go, but I won't go out of my way to eat them.

Mexican: Chevy's. The best one is this stand near where we live.

Italian: Macaroni Grill.

Pizza: Whatever Xinh wrote on this one.

Catfish: Eeww.

Seafood: Shrimp with Walnut. The shimp is coated with orange butter sauce. You can find it in most of the Chinese restaurant. But this restaurant near us called Chopstick does a superb job with it.

Sushi: Kabuki in Pasadena. Not only their sushi is fresh and good, they are also half price if you order at least three orders.

Steak: I forgot the name of the restaurant. It's in Anaheim (Hills), on top of a mountain/hill. It's super expensive, but I didn't have to pay for it. The Filet Mignon was soooo good.

Breakfast: Homestyle Cafe in Ontario/Guasti.

Fast food: Jack in the Box or Wendy's.

Dessert: Any chocolate cake. I'm not picky. I am not particular fond of desserts in American restaurants, I find them to be too sweet. I order my cakes always at this Chinese bakery called Cathy's Bakery in Arcadia. I know it isn't a restaurant, but they are sooooo good. Not too sweet, not too rich. After you eat their cake, you don't feel like you have gained 10 lbs. I got my wedding cake there, and every birthday cake since then.

Favorite overall restaurant: Macaroni Grill if we go with the kids. Kabuki if it's just John and I. I llllllllllove sushi.

Favorite restaurant out of business: I don’t think any place I like to eat or have eaten is out of business.

Poor Bunny
Bunny is sick. Poor baby. First it was just congestion, then became a full on coughing. Last night she kept waking up. So I slept in the single bed in her room. She didn't sleep well, I didn't sleep. That bed is horrible. I woke up with back and neck pain, not that I don't have them already.

I got her some Vicks Babyrub today, hopefully it could help her to have a full night sleep. Even though she's sick, she still has the big smile for me.

This week is a three-day school week for JE. Maybe I will take them to the zoo on Thursday if Bunny is feeling better.

Friday Five
1. What are you most self-conscious about?
My boobs, or lack of.

2. What’s your favourite word?
Don't have one.

3. What’s your biggest fear?
Height.

4. What’s the weirdest thing ever to happen to you at work/school?
Experienced an earthquake at my last job. Felt it on the 39th floor. It was pretty weird, because I didn't know it was an earthquake. I was feeling sick when I lowered my head, but was fine when I sat up.

5. If you were going to have a revolution, what kind of society would you create?
A society of true freedom. If you are an adult, do whatever the hell you like, as long as you don't endanger other people's lives.

Are you ready for this?
It's ONLY THREE WEEKS until Thanksgiving. This can not be right!

I'm seriously freaking out. It didnt help that we're I'm hosting it for the first time. I'm feeling the pressure.

On a lighter note, this is funny. But don't watch it at work if you are going to get into trouble.

Happy Turkey Day
